special day of celebration

great holy father i come to you on special day of celebration.

i prayed for joy and a life full of sacred events.

you my heavenly father heard my prayers as into my life you sent my life partner.

one who walks this earthly path with me through the storms of life.

this warrior husband is the gatekeeper who stands guard at the door while i go in to sort confusion, frustration and emotional turmoil.

we have walked the red road of recovery and seen many things here in the mountains, on windswept prairies and to distant shores in other lands.

i have realized through prayer and meditation that my committment to my marriage reflects that of my spiritual marriage to all things that are holy.

for the companionship,loyality,gentleness and kindness born of a sacrament

based on the laws of your kingdom, i give thanks. here in this sanctified pledge i am humbled once again for the strength to stand together thru lifes unfolding lessons.

keep us safe great father your earthly children so we may continue in a good way to play in the fields of the lord.
